On April 30, 2009, Reavis High School and the baseball program lost one of its student-athletes, Robert Regalado. Robert passed away from Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy, a genetic heart disease. To keep his memory alive, the school created an annual $500 scholarship that is given to a deserving Reavis student in the name of Robert.

On Thursday, April 29, the entire Reavis baseball program will be wearing special t-shirts to honor Robert and his memory in their game against Lincoln-Way North. Every Ram baseball player that day will don Robert's number 18! The varsity team will be playing at Czarnecki Field at 4:30 and both the lower levels will be at Lincoln Way.

The baseball program will also be selling these #18 t-shirts to the public for $10. All the proceeds from the sales of the shirts will go directly to funding The Robert Regalado Scholarship. We would ask that anyone who bought a t-shirt last year or who purchases this year's shirt to wear it to school on Tuesday, May 4.

The Regalado family will be holding candlelight vigil on April 30 at 8:00pm to remember Robert. It will take place at the Southfield baseball complex located on the corner of 83rd and Nottingham across from Maddock School.
